BAND
Multi-instrumentalist, Alexandra Maison performs with numerous ensembles. Albums, improvised performances, live concerts, recordings... She lends her mastery of saxophone, percussion, vocals and electric bass to every project she undertakes.
Percussion

Alexandra Maison was a percussionist for pianist Jacob Lefrançois's album "Intelligere".
Featuring 10 pieces for solo piano, the album highlights an alternative to his flagship piece "Intelligere" for piano and cinematic percussion.
The album and the play were a significant critical and media success.
The video of their performance, filmed by videographer Newton Sindayigaya , shows the complicity between the composer and his performer.

"Percussionist, bassist, composer, and more, she was incredibly available for this project and adapted perfectly to my very ad-lib playing style (without a metronome). We had to develop a strong rapport for everything to work !"
- Jacob Lefrançois, "Résonances Intérieures"

Alexandra Maison is part of the Lumi●e●res group : University Lab of Music, Electroacoustic Innovation and Research in Sherbrooke.
Focused on improvisation in instrumental and electroacoustic contexts, the group was founded by the Italian musicologist and professor Andrea Gozzi.
The School of Music at the University of Sherbrooke hosted Francesco Giomi and Francesco Canavese, founders of the Tempo Reale Research Centre, for a concert with improvised direction blending electroacoustic and traditional instruments.

"A project dedicated to electroacoustic music, which weaves links between research, production and musical training, and which testifies to the solid collaboration between the Italian Cultural Institute of Montreal, the Florentine center Tempo Reale – founded in 1987 by the composer Luciano Berio, whose centenary of birth is marked in 2025 – and the Akousma festival."
